Jimmy Chia

Jimmy Chia has been teaching for 15 years, and brings a variety of experiences in education to the Sophio team. Having completed his Undergrad at York University, obtaining a Bachelors of Arts in Linguistics and Bachelor of Education in History, he has added several additional qualifications since. Most notably, Mr. Chia completed his Masters of Education at the University of Toronto, with graduate work in the field of second language education.

Mr Chia’s teaching career has allowed him the opportunity to travel to several countries, including China, Thailand, Japan and the Marshall Islands. He currently teaches Social Sciences, History, ESL and Business at the grade 12 level at an international high school in Toronto, Canada.
